The Lido - West Country Part 2

On our second day, T and I decided that we deserved some needed R&R and was looking forward to our massages done by the wonderful Ali @ Teepee Bristol.

My worries and daily stresses soon melted away as Ali got her hands on me and my very troublesome left shoulder.

After nearly two hours of bliss, we headed for one of my favourite places to just 'hang'.

Iam totally aware that this is probably the 50th time I've posted/mentioned Bristol, but I haven't mentioned this secret hideout, tucked away in the depths of Clifton.

The Lido.

I used to frequent The Lido quite a bit (well, I did work there!) which is sadly not the case as I moved to the Smoke...but I do try and pop down here as much as I can when I'm back.

Enough gushing! So... spa, restaurant AND bar...this place truly is a sanctuary.

Although the masterpiece has got to be the outdoor infinity pool. The water was a refreshing 23 degrees that day which initially made me frown as that did sound quite chilly. I was relieved to find that after an intensive session in the sauna and steamroom, I more than welcomed the pool and I even managed to do 20 lengths (and I do not swim...ever!)

We were not done yet...onwards to the restaurant. Here are a few snaps:

Home-made sourdough

Wood Roast Scallops

T's steak...beaut

Wood Roast Potatoes

Plaice with Crab and Bean Salad

Salted Butter Caramel Ice Cream...

This bad boy set off my salted caramel addiction

Fabulous way to end the night...
